For the last 2 weeks, Suami Terchenta & I spent our times on separate agenda and nearly killed each other. But then we made out made up and it was really hot that we forgave each other. So, it was much of a relief to find that this week, we got to spend time together at home... finally! I never thought I'd be glad to find myself trapped at home for 48 hours, thank God for home sweet home.
Anyway, we did catch a movie on Friday night, the movie which we both had been anticipating to go to - Hancock (poster above). Read below for the movie's summary:

It tells the story of a vigilante superhero from Los Angeles whose reckless actions routinely cost the city millions of dollars. He saves Ray Embrey from being run over by a train, which causes Embrey, a public relations spokesperson, to make it his mission to change Hancock's public image for the better.

My view on the movie:
The storyline is refreshingly unique, looking at the reality angle of the cost of being a super hero. We always wonder when watching Ultraman blasting away at monsters every week and saw Japan in ruins only to be back as good as new every time. But in Hancock, the superhero got called to court, sued and then finally admitted himself into prison albeit unwillingly for ruining the city in his attempts to save others. The movie started as funny but towards the end, it became somber, which spoiled the whole movie. I felt the same way I felt when watching CJ7 - dismay. What happens to the good ol' days of comedy sticking to its theme - i.e. comedy? Directors nowadays are trying too hard to be versatile, only it didn't bring the desired result.
Also, it didn't really explain who are Hancock and Mary, where did they come from and how did they happen to possess superpowers and long lives. Nevertheless, the funny parts are really funny so I could live with it. I just wished that the storyline are not so loose and more elaborately explained.
So, that's Hancock for you.

After 2 weeks of neglect, our house looked more like a cow's barn than human's lair. So Saturday & Sunday mornings were spent scrubbing, vacuuming, cleaning, spinning, mopping, folding, tidying and whatever adjectives that ended with 'ing' which we could think of to do around the house.

On Sunday, we watched Spongebob Squarepants, CSIs and basically just glued ourselves in front of the TV until 6.30pm, when we decided to go for a jog at the nearest jogging park. There I was minding my own business when my eyes fell on a couple having a lovey-dovey session at one of the hut. As I approached nearer, I almost toppled off the hill when I saw they were both... male.
It was bad enough that I had to endure a traumatic experience spotting two men locked at the lips while Suami Terchenta & I were enjoying our boating experience in Madrid, now this evening I had to be reminded of it when I saw this same-sex couple being all 'manja2x' in front of my eyes. I practically ran all the way towards Suami Terchenta and dragged him to the couple so he could confirm what I saw. He mumbled that yup, they were both guys and then we fled the area before lightning strikes on us.
Well Suami Terchenta, maybe you should just listen to my gut feeling when I said that we should go to a further jogging track.
So much for a peaceful weekend.
