Resipi Hujung Minggu - Tomyam Campur

Saya teringin makan tomyam tapi saya tak teringin nak bayar mahal2... Maklumlah sejak kenaikan harga minyak, tentu harga tomyam pun naik. Kenapa? Sebab harga ayam dah naik. Jadi, apa lagi.

Bajet pon dah defisit. Nak makan pun berkira, apa lagi nak cuci mata. Nak cuti-cuti Malaysia? Kirim salam je lah. Nasib baik cuti-cuti luar negara dah berjalan lancar sebelum krisis kewangan sedunia melanda.

Kompeni baru saya pun mengalami bahang yang amat dirasai semua. Biasalah, orang dengki memang cakap banyak benda tanpa siasat kebenarannya. Tak apa. Kita sabar je lah. Kalau tak sabar, mari kita nyanyi lagu hore-hore! Nyanyi kuat2, biar suara-suara sumbang tu tenggelam sampai dieorang bosan. Muahaha *gelak macam setan

Lepas PM mengumumkan kenaikan harga minyak, semua berpakat nak berjimat-cermat.

Besoknya, plan execute.

Lusa, err... psst.. Suami Terchenta, nak masak apa ye?

p/s: Environment ofis baru ni sgt mesra alam dan santai... Tak de lagi ketakutan bila Trump melintas. Hehe. Hopefully, keadaan ni akan berkekalan sampai bila2. Gambate!

Weekend

Sekarang musim kenduri kawen. Been there, done that dear. Isu kecik pon boleh jadi perang dunia ke-3! *bercakaran mcm kucen*

Kalau weekend lepas, kami menyebokkan diri ke kenduri kawen ex-housemate saya, weekend ni kami duduk di rumah je. Macam makcik & pakcik yang sudah menopaus. Haha. Lately, kami jarang keluar bercuti2. Sebab sekarang ongkos bercuti boleh bikin heart attack. Even cuma naik CLK boleh membakar poket kami. Therefore, lebih baik duduk rumah. Tengok Astro. Buat lawak bodoh. Tido. Hehe.

Hari Ahad pulak, saya bizi. Bizi blender baju. Bizi sidai baju. Bizi lipat baju. Bizi iron baju utk stok seminggu. Suami Terchenta pon bizi. Bizi di dapur, memasak. Dia suka berlagak macam chef professional. Kadang2 buat saya takut. Sebab saya dah penah melecur teruk masa goreng ikan. Jadi saya akan lari jauh2 sementara Suami Terchenta praktik skill masakannya.

Kesimpulannya, that's our weekend minggu ni. Macamana your weekend pulak?

Ludicrously, ludicrously horrible start to the day

Today I woke up extra early. I had made preparations the night before so I won't rush this morning. I put my Herbalife shake (which I prepared last night), a bottle of water and my nasi lemak tapow for lunch in a paper bag. At 7.15am, I was ready to go to work. Sounds like a perfect beginning to the day, right?

It started with the rain...
Only, it rained. I got wet. The paper bag got wet. I reached office 5 mins to 8am. Never mind, I can still rush to my office high up in the sky on time.

...Then the SIM card holder failed
I was so wrong. Because I'm new, I had to get temporary pass every time I came to work. Which means, I have to surrender my IC and gave my employee ID number. Since I recently acquired the ID, I stored it in one of my sim cards in my supposedly dual sim card phone. So when it was my turn to surrender my IC, I flipped on my phone and hey presto! The stupid sim card holder that stored my employee ID did not work, so my phone was displaying 'Insert SIM'!

I had to turn off the phone, got out the sim card, switched it to the other holder, switched it on and waited for the slow system to well, download the phone book. Which took hours while the queue behind me got more impatient by the minutes.

... Which followed by the suicidal bottles
Finally, the amazingly slow phone displayed my employee ID, I got to take the temporary pass and was ready to rush to the pass reader. Just as I turned, my wet paper bag gave way to the heavy water bottles and both bottles crashed to the floor in the way bottles fell in a horrible dream. You know, in that slow-mo way and you could actually see the trajectory of the bottles' path as it plunged down to the destruction of my dignity.

... And the spilt drink
I was all out to swear in the way I never swear before. The Herbalife bottle came undone and some of its contents spilt. Grreeaattt. The spilt drink made the bottle slippery and I was gradually losing my temper but trying to hold it together as best as I could (which was difficult). I managed to go through the pass reader, the security screening and inside the lift, with the stupid drink still making my life even more miserable. A man tried to help me as the bottle threatened to commit suicide again which resulted in him being unhappy coz his hand got wet & smelled like chocolate+cappucino. OK, even I got unhappy!

... Ended Up With A Messed Up Me
With my hands full, I tried to find tissues in my handbag (only a person used to handling various things at once knew how to do this) to pass to the man. Then, still swearing under my breath, I hurried to another lift to get to my office level, so I could dump my burdens on my table and then just wailed in frustration!

This was just not my day.

26 Years Old... Belated Posting

Last Thursday, I turned 26 years old.

Last year, my 25th birthday was celebrated with a new husband. This year, I have a new job. I can't thank God enough for the blessings that He has bestowed on me. Alhamdulillah. I hope that next year, my 27th birthday will be celebrated with Little Carneyz / Junaidix. (No, not preggie yet, but thanks for your wishes, we sincerely hope those wishes will come true!) 🤲🏻

I'd like to thank my family and friends who wished me Happy Birthday 😍. No matter it was done on the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th or even 8th June, as long as you guys remember. Hip Hip Hooray for that!

Thank you Suami Terchenta, for the lovely gift, which I will unfailingly look at every hour of the day *wink* 🤩

Not forgetting, thanks for the lovely dinner at Restaurant next to Cheng Ho (we didn't want to queue up to dine in Cheng Ho, so we went to the restaurant next door) We have done away with the bouquet of flowers this year, it's just a waste of money anyway.

Also, thank you to my Southern/Johorean friends who had come all the way to KL and surprised me with this cake. Sorry for being clueless, I thought the cake was for someone else. 😜

Solution to Storing Away My Headscarves!

The last few weeks before I left my previous company, I was really, really busy and under a lot of stress. After leaving, I badly needed a retail session to de-stress, and as everybody knows, de-stress session means a visit to IKEA Damansara. Hehe.

This time, I'm looking for something to organise my wardrobe. Every morning when I need to find a headscarf to wear, I will always mess up the piles of tudung in my wardrobe as mornings are always hectic. In the end, my wardrobe looks less & less like how I prefer it to be, so I need a solution to that problem.

So I bought this:
KOMPLEMENT multi-use hanger, RM28

Having this means I don't have to dig into my pile of headscarves anymore, i.e. no more messy wardrobe :)

Just slips in the scarf in one of the loops...

No more messy piles...
