I can't wait to get this over & done with so I can go back to my sister's house and watch tv

So.

I'm in Miri, coordinating interview sessions. That's what HR do. Last time as a PR person, I organised events, now I coordinate interview sessions. The latter is a piece of cake after the thunderstorm of event organising. I still wonder how people can still leave out important details when planning interviews. Hmm (Berlagaknya!)

Anyway. ANYWAY.
I was looking forward to the in-flight food of MAS. The last time I travelled, the food was oh-so-classy. But when I got mine yesterday, my eyeballs nearly popped out and rolled around on the aisle because...

WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT? CAT'S PUKE?

Seriously, even the un-nasi lemak nasi lemak served by Tony Fernandes' airline looks more palatable.

At this moment, I'm waiting for the interview sessions to be concluded so I can collect the forms and then pack my stuff and go back to my sister's huge house.

I don't know why I'm feeling slightly unwell... feverish and ache-y.

Could it be because of my hectic work schedule or something else? *imagining myself with a huge bump in front running waddling to catch a flight*

Shudder. Let's hope that my schedule will slow down if I ever should get preggie.

Work, travel, work!

Saya telah terima banyak komentar lately. Sebab. Saya malas nak update blog. Pembaca2 blog semua dah malas bukak blog saya. Mintak ampun semua! Sebenarnya, saya teramat bz!

Ala, bukan tak nak update, tapi. Ok, meh tengok jadual travel saya sekarang:

1. Besok - Travel ke Miri sampai 26hb.

2. 3-4 Ogos - Travel ke Kuantan.

3. ??? Ogos - Travel ke Bintulu. Then ke Labuan besoknya.

4. 10-13 Ogos - Travel ke Kerteh.

Kamu semua nampak ni? Bukan setakat nak update blog, nak buat anak pun tak sempat ok! (Hahaha! Ini ialah ayat berunsur penipuan!)

Ok lah, saya nak packing sekarang. Tunggu saya balik barulah saya akan membebel lagi (kalau saya rajin).

Faster Go To Heaven!

A friend of mine is getting married soon and she's asked me about my experience of being a married girl lady *walioweh, married 2 years only already become marriage consultant!

So, here's the edited version (and some replies are fabricated to make the conversation more interesting) of our very long, in-depth and totally no point of order required. I'm so proud - the rakyats (meaning me & my friend) behave better than the MPs!

Friend: Eh, in Islam how ah, being a wife?

Me: Must listen to hubby lor... Everything must ask permission from hubby. He's the CEO in Marriage, Inc.

Friend: Ha, really? Sounds very submissive hor.

Me: But he got more responsibilities lor... Must work, pay the bills, household, clothes, give wife allowance, if wife too tired to do house chores, he gotta pay for the maid lor. Wife just take care the kids and his 'needs'.

Friend: You mean, the kaler-kaler wan izit? Hahaha!

Me: Eh, clever girl! Not even married already know so much huh?

Friend: But wives nowadays also work wat?

Me: Ha lah, but wife no obligation to support the family.... If she works coz she wants to help hubby pay bills, she gets more bonus points faster redeem for ticket to heaven lor.

Friend: Hahaha! Like that izit? Too bad my soon-to-be-hubby believes in equality when it comes to money... when I pay first and want to claim later, he said no need la, like taking money from one pocket into the other wan...

Me: Ya lor, his money is my money, my money is my money. Eh, God so clever wan! Gives men CEO position coz men likes power, gives us the money coz we love shopping!

So, to wives out there, if fast-fast want to go to heaven, don't spend all the salary on new shoes / bags / clothes / makeups. Help hubby to settle the housing loan too! ((This message goes to yours truly))

Pagi Tadi...

Pagi tadi sejuk bangat. Peluk Suami Terchenta kuat-kuat sambil naik motor. Tapi Suami Terchenta sudah lali. Tak macam mula2 kawen dulu. Tersengih2 kena peluk. Kalau saya merajuk dan tak peluk pun, dia dah tak perasan! Jiwa yang halus adalah berkadar songsang dengan Suami Terchenta *Sekarang perkataan 'songsang' adalah sangat sensitif*

Pagi tadi, bila berhenti di traffic light, saya terlihat sebuah motor di depan. Seorang ayah menghantar anak perempuannya ke tadika. Comel tocang rambut budak kecik tu. Mungkin prihatin si anak sejuk kepala (sebab dia tak pakai helmet!), si ayah pusing dan pasangkan topi. Waktu tu, saya lihat si anak rupa2nya Down Syndrome.

Pagi tadi, jiwa halus saya yg berkadar lurus buat saya rasa tersentuh perasaan. Betapa sayang si ayah dengan anaknya yang Down Syndrome tu. Seolah2 saya pulak si ayah. Apa nasibnya bila dah besar? Boleh ke jaga diri-sendiri? Siapa yang akan jaga si anak kalau si ayah dah takde / sakit? Siapa yang hendak dengan si anak kalau si anak nak berkahwin? Apa, ingat orang Down Syndrome tak de perasaan ke?

Hancock and Weekend @ Home... Finally

For the last 2 weeks, Suami Terchenta & I spent our times on separate agenda and nearly killed each other. But then we made out made up and it was really hot that we forgave each other. So, it was much of a relief to find that this week, we got to spend time together at home... finally! I never thought I'd be glad to find myself trapped at home for 48 hours, thank God for home sweet home.

Anyway, we did catch a movie on Friday night, the movie which we both had been anticipating to go to - Hancock (poster above). Read below for the movie's summary:

It tells the story of a vigilante superhero from Los Angeles whose reckless actions routinely cost the city millions of dollars. He saves Ray Embrey from being run over by a train, which causes Embrey, a public relations spokesperson, to make it his mission to change Hancock's public image for the better.

My view on the movie:
The storyline is refreshingly unique, looking at the reality angle of the cost of being a super hero. We always wonder when watching Ultraman blasting away at monsters every week and saw Japan in ruins only to be back as good as new every time. But in Hancock, the superhero got called to court, sued and then finally admitted himself into prison albeit unwillingly for ruining the city in his attempts to save others. The movie started as funny but towards the end, it became somber, which spoiled the whole movie. I felt the same way I felt when watching CJ7 - dismay. What happens to the good ol' days of comedy sticking to its theme - i.e. comedy? Directors nowadays are trying too hard to be versatile, only it didn't bring the desired result.

Also, it didn't really explain who are Hancock and Mary, where did they come from and how did they happen to possess superpowers and long lives. Nevertheless, the funny parts are really funny so I could live with it. I just wished that the storyline are not so loose and more elaborately explained.

So, that's Hancock for you.

Note:
After 2 weeks of neglect, our house looked more like a cow's barn than human's lair. So Saturday & Sunday mornings were spent scrubbing, vacuuming, cleaning, spinning, mopping, folding, tidying and whatever adjectives that ended with 'ing' which we could think of to do around the house.

On Sunday, we watched Spongebob Squarepants, CSIs and basically just glued ourselves in front of the TV until 6.30pm, when we decided to go for a jog at the nearest jogging park. There I was minding my own business when my eyes fell on a couple having a lovey-dovey session at one of the hut. As I approached nearer, I almost toppled off the hill when I saw they were both... male.

It was bad enough that I had to endure a traumatic experience spotting two men locked at the lips while Suami Terchenta & I were enjoying our boating experience in Madrid, now this evening I had to be reminded of it when I saw this same-sex couple being all 'manja2x' in front of my eyes. I practically ran all the way towards Suami Terchenta and dragged him to the couple so he could confirm what I saw. He mumbled that yup, they were both guys and then we fled the area before lightning strikes on us.

Well Suami Terchenta, maybe you should just listen to my gut feeling when I said that we should go to a further jogging track.

So much for a peaceful weekend.
