Lewat Lagi...

Lepas je saya letak beg atas meja, saya terus jumpa bos. Saya buat muka serius dan tanya bos, 'Bos, dapat tak email notify I lambat?'

Bos jawab,'Belum lagi, kenapa?'

'Oh, I nak bagitau ni. I lambat bukan apa, I saja je nak test sistem.'

Bos tak tau nak kata apa. Dia nak marah tapi rasa geli hati jugak. Orang lain dah tergelak macam nak pecah perut dengar jawapan bernas dari saya. Hahaha! Tak sia2 saya buat alasan yang buatkan satu ofis ketawa besar!

Oleh sebab alasan saya sangat unik, jadi bos lepaskan saja perbuatan tak bermoral saya i.e. datang lewat. Lain kali saya kena fikir lagi alasan lain sebab alasan tu cuma boleh guna hari pertama je!

Saturday Hiking Activities

Most people treat weekend as a relaxing time.

Not me. Not Jen. Certainly not our hubbies!

You see, we are two evil ladies who have gotten a taste of S&M and got no heart wan! We asked our hubbies to sacrifice their sleep and go hiking on their rest day!

Ooh... two sadist wives! There they were, the two culprits feigning sweetness & innocence:

Kawaii or not...?

Rupa2nya, ada udang di sebalik batu.

We started to climb the steep slope going up the hill to the canopy walkway. The most senseless thing we noted was, we could not go up the walkway because the ticketing counter only opens at 9.30am! Who would climb up at that time? Not us.

Just about to start climbing

The thing about FRIM that I love is the majestic view of the tree top as seen from below:

Maybe this is how the Old Forest in LOTR looks like, before one of the Ents bends down, picks you up and gobbles you.

Jen & MK were caught by surprise and fast-fast, they whipped out a camera to shoot the amazing view:

'I thought, what la, you point upwards... Ingat got tahi burung about to drop on us.'

As we started to climb the well-trodden path of the jungle, Suami Terchenta started to take more photos to forget his miserable conditions of being forced to go against gravity, and MK started to re-consider the idea of climbing Mount Kinabalu, while both of us continued our talk-a-thon non-stop:

Jen & I still spouting off our mouths, 'Blablablabla...'

In fact, we were the only two hikers who tried our hardest to make sound pollution while other hikers were just concentrating to climb / go down in silence & in one piece.

I never met anyone who was more talkative than Jen.

Everybody was happy when we reached the canopy walkway. Especially Jen's hubby.

Still talking even while resting

After 15 minutes of resting and a whole conversation of durians later, we continued our journey, this time going down the hill. It took us probably 15 minutes to go down.

We took a respite and enjoyed the sight of waterfall and little kiddos dipping their feet in the cool water.

The signage shows that we had walked / climbed approximately 2km from where we started (the mosque):

Suddenly we spotted this bunting:

'Eh, alang2 we're here, let's visit this place! It's only 15mins walk from here.'

Who knows we kena tipu? Unless you walk like the Ents, it actually took us 30mins to reach that place.

But we did not mind so much, especially we got to spend another 30mins talking talking talking:

Walking down the memory lane...

Occasionally we stopped to gaze contentedly at the wind-blown leaves falling off the tree:

I also love the open space between trees and ground covered in fallen leaves. One could not help thinking 'Bollywood!' when one comes across this:

We called this tree, the army tree:

Guess why leh?

Finally we reached the Malay Tea House:

There was a lot of antique items and actually, the place is not so bad. Even I won't mind working here because I can go to work with the same outfit I sleep in:

10 minutes later, we ordered these for our first breakfast:

Sago gula melaka

And...

Aiskrim potong!

You may wonder why I said 'first breakfast'. We had our 'second breakfast' at a mamak restaurant later on. Why?

That's why! The sago gula melaka costs RM3.50 and my aiskrim potong costs RM3!

Anyway, I had a very enjoyable time hiking with Jen. Time flew so fast and we hardly felt exhausted even though we almost always ran out of breath due to our super active lips exercise!

Jen, let's do this again some day:

My new swimsuit!

Note: This entry is for 18 yrs old and above ONLY! Budak bawah umur, sila main jauh2x!

Everyone who follow my blog dilligently surely knows that I love seaside vacations. We always go to some islands for our vacations - Tioman, Pangkor, Manukan. Perhaps some day we'll reach Perhentian or Redang, Insya Allah.

So, if I love seaside so much, I must be a pretty good swimmer right? The answer is...

NOOOOO!!!

I almost drowned during my first honeymoon trip with Suami Terchenta at Tioman Island. The experience was terrifying and since then, I was pretty phobic in the water alone. Suami Terchenta had to hold my hand the WHOLE TIME while we both were in the water.

But since I love water so much (but scared I might drown again), I decided that I should go for swimming lessons. I had been contemplating the idea since last year, and finally I signed up for it with a close friend of mine - I mean, she becomes my swimming instructor.

Kalau nak pergi swimming, haruslah pakai swimming suit kan? Hahaha! Kalau pakai tudung takkan nak pakai bikini kan? 😝 Sekiranya saya pakai bikini, bukan setakat macam nangka kena balut, tapi Suami Terchenta will kill me 18 times! Non-stop! Then forbid me to ever step out of the house!

Therefore, I have to be modest and cover a bit la, suitable as being a Moslem. So, I browsed through the Internet and came across islamicbajurenang.blogspot run by Matus. Her swimsuit collection not only fulfills the dress code of Moslem women, but also quite affordable compared to to other sites I visited. Some more, she has gorgeous floral but sporty collection!

Matus was quick in delivering the swimsuit and I had fun posing for it here! :

Tadah! Meet the swimsuit model! Eh, notice or not I wear terbalik one! Never mind la, first time mah!

Can't wait for my swimming lesson next week! =)

My brother's convo & our trip to Cameron Highland - my chronicle!

Lately my blog has been off the list, not that I was busy. Noo.. I was plain lazy. I'm this close of shutting down the blog forever and ever amen, but I know deep down I still love writing down chronicles of my life for the eyes of blog readers world-wide. Only thing is, like Amy pointed out, work has slowly and painfully killed our passion for blogging. After spending 12 hours staring at the monitor @ work, blogging is the last thing we want to do.

Suami Terchenta - how about combining our blogs together and coming up with sappy url e.g. mrnmrsjunaidix.com?
  <-- 2-cents.="" about="" br="" eh="" fit="" here="" how="" identity="" in="" junaidix-carneyz.com="" just="" my="" ok="" to="" where="">
Anyway, let's catch up with what I had been occupied with over the past few weeks. Last 3 weeks, my brother had his convocation and my mom & sister came from Sarawak to attend it. However, yours truly could not take leave because I had to attend an important meeting on the day. So, Suami Terchenta took his replacement leave and escorted them to my bro's convo instead.

CONGRATULATIONS BRO! YOU'RE ONE STEP AWAY TO JOINING THE WORKFORCE! :)

Ahahahaha! What a way to scare off my brother.

My brother. Ada sesiapa mau jadi adik ipar saya?

After the convocation (of which I missed a lot of jokes and a lot of memories! Boohoohoo!), we headed to Cameron Highland. This was actually our Mother's Day treat for my mom since she was always asking me when would I take her to Cameron Highland. Since 5 years ago ok.

I almost missed the trip because (what else?) of work. Work, work, work! Haiyo, don't know when work will end. I did not sleep the whole night and forced my younger sister to help me check info and stuffs while I keyed in new data. Sampai saat2 terakhir, I was still sending out emails until Suami Terchenta forced me to take the bloody laptop and sent out email in the car instead.

Seronok, hor? On the way to holiday also still working?

So understandably, my mood was not so cheerful and I started to mengomel2 in the car. WHY ARE YOU DRIVING SO SLOW ONE? WHY IS THAT CAR DRIVING SLOW ALSO? HOW COME BRO SESAT WHEN WE TOLD HIM SPECIFICALLY NOT TO EXIT THAT WAY? Blablablabla all the way to Simpang Pulai and then I fell asleep. Walla, my family finally had some peace in the car!

Until I woke up as we were reaching Cameron Highland and started a fresh tirade of mengomel in the car until my mother said, 'Eh go back to sleep la! It was so much more peaceful while you were asleep!'

Ok lah. Barulah aku shut up. Sampai la kami ke Cameron Highland dengan jayanya dan amannya.

Our room @ Century Pine Resort. Heaven, so big mah! Will definitely stay this hotel again next time we go to Cameron

We had connecting rooms at the hotel and we simply loved the fact that the rooms were spacious! 6 persons weren't a problem. The bed can accommodate 3 persons on it. Seorang kenalah tido di atas sofa. My advise to anyone who wants to stay here - you'll get cheaper rates if you booked online :)

My mom (blessed her heart!) had thoughtfully packed some home-made nasi briyani (she always cooks nice food when she's around) and we had that prior to going out. When we stepped out of the room, we loved the cool mountain air even though it's afternoon. So apa lagi, food-hunting began!

My sister - 'I love this pillow! I love this pillow! I wanna bring back to my hostel!'

The trip to Cameron Highland would not be complete without a visit to their famous tea plantation:

Trying out our skills of becoming English - scones with fresh cream and jam & butter, and Grey Earl tea

After tea-time, off we went down to the tea plantation:

Hmm... How did they figure out that tea can be made from these leaves?

When we got bored of tea, we decided to go to the strawberry farm and bought chocolate-coated strawberry. Just the thought sent me off into chocs-arrest!

Ini strawberry yang saya petik.

Unfortunately, we were a bit too late - they ran out of chocolate sauce and we had to settle for strawberry with ice cream instead:

Ahh... strawberry with vanilla ice-creams and chocolate rice sprinkles...

But, the chance was not foregone entirely, because when we visited the pasar malam, we managed to buy PLENTY of strawberry with chocolate! :)

And some cutesy trinkets for our study / work tables:

Cheap! We love those trinkets

The next day after breakfast, we sempat cam-whoring on the bed prior to checking out of the hotel:

My sister, mother and moi

Lepas tu, apa lagi. A visit to the nursery is a MUST for my flowers-loving mother!

Mom said that she was hoping someone was looking for a gardener so she could continue staying at Cameron Highland

While Mom enjoyed looking and touching those flowers, my siblings pulak continued cam-whoring:

Let's take each other's photos...

Finally, at 1++pm, we made our way back to the lowland, and zoomed off to KL (sedeynya vacationku sudah tamat!). They continued to stay at JW Marriott Putrajaya instead (where we had a very very expensive buffet dinner) while we went back to return Kak Retna's car, si Putih. Hehehe. Thanks to Kak Retna, for lending her car to us in times of desperate need! :)

Itulah kesah vacation kami sekeluarga di Cameron Highland:

Family photo before leaving Cameron Highland

Hmm... next month my parents-in-law will be visiting us and we are still thinking of the ideal location to bring them. Since Mother (in law) suffers slight motion sickness, we don't think she'll enjoy the ride to Cameron Highland or any other places far away from KL... Any idea, guys?

Will blog on my balik kampung some other time! :)

Help! We Need An MPV!

Wiken ni kami nak ke Cameron Highland sempena ketibaan Bonda Terchenta & keluarga saya.

Walaupun CLK kami sangatlah berguna dan menjimatkan, tapi mungkin tak boleh bawak sampai 6 orang penumpang.

Aiyoh, stress! Stress!
